Autumn is one of my favourite seasons. I love the cooler temperatures, the earlier evenings and the magic that starts to stir in the night air. Sam and I were out enjoying the autumn weather in Canterbury with our Mums. We stopped off for a delicious lunch in Deeson’s – a restaurant that specialises in traditional and modern British food. After, we had a little browse in the shops and Sam surprised me with a new bottle of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and this amazing Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask from The Body Shop. A face mask is a great way to revitalise your skin and skincare routine especially when the weather is turning.
The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask:
It was my best friend Emma that first told me about this amazing mask. We were having a girlie day watching Beauty and the Beast when we decided face masks were a good idea. That was how I met this amazing product. It left me with glowy, healthy looking skin
It contains Himalayan bamboo charcoal, Japanese green tea leaves and organic tea tree oil. Its vegan and does not contain any parabens, silicone or mineral oil. It’s formulated with clay making it great for oily skin.
How to Use:
Its gorgeously thick and easy to apply with fingers or a brush and its buildable. I tend to build a slightly thicker layer on my t-zone as I am much more oily there. It has a strong minty tea tree scent and feels cooling on the skin. I leave it on till it dries (the box says 5-10mins) and then I use a face towel with warm water to remove it. Sometimes it can be a little stuck to the skin but I find that firm circular buffing motions help break it down. My skin is a little red after but this is because I’ve just rubbed it vigorously rather than it being a reaction. The redness fades quickly and I’m left with skin that feels super soft and has a lit from within glow. This product is absolutely amazing.
Don’t just believe me though, you can read the reviews for yourself. The Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow mask has 4.8 out of 5 stars on The Body Shop’s website.
