After all the craziness over the last few weeks, I felt like I deserved a bit of a treat. I’ve always loved make up and I was browsing the cult beauty website and before I knew it I had five items in my basket and I was clicking the check out button. Jump ahead to a few days later and as I opened my door there was a little package waiting for me! I ripped it open and admired my goodies inside. I ordered – Charlotte Tilbury’s Legendary Brows in the colour Super Model, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in shade Dark Brown, Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat in shade Pillow Talk and I also treated myself to a Anastasia Beverly Hills sharpener and duo eyebrow brush in 7B.
Well groomed, shaped to perfection set of brows really sets off any make up look. In fact, I don’t apply my eyeshadows till I’ve done my brows! When my eyebrow make up is on point I feel really great. Eyebrow make up is right up there with mascara for me – an absolute must have. I’ve tried many brow products over the years – pencils, powders, gels, waxes and I never really found anything that worked perfectly for me. That was, until I discovered Charlotte Tilbury’s Legendary Brows. At first, I wasn’t expecting much but as soon as I swiped that teensy brush on my brow I was absolutely wowed. This product certainly lives up to its name and then some! A swipe of this leaves me feeling like I have brows worthy of Cara Delevigne. I had run out a few months ago so when I saw that this was in stock on Cult Beauty I couldn’t resist.
Wearing lipstick is a fairly new thing for me – I didn’t really use lipstick when I was younger as I hate having to constantly re-apply make up and don’t get me started on lip gloss! Urgh, I hate that sticky feeling and I hate my hair getting stuck to my mouth every time the wind blows. So yeah, my teenage experiences with lipsticks have not been great and caused me to avoid lip products for a very long time. Recently with the availability of long lasting liquid lipsticks and hydrating mattes I’ve been experimenting a lot more with lip colours. You’ll be surprised to know this is actually my first lip liner purchase. I’m intrigued to see how it comes out – I’m planning on using it with Velvet Teddy by MAC.
I’m quite excited to own my first Anastasia Beverly Hills products too! I’ve read so many reviews and watched many tutorials using the dip brow pomade so I can’t wait to see how it comes out! The brush looks great on first inspection too, its got a nice sized handle which makes it feel kinda like a pen to hold – great for precision control! We’ll see hey 🙂 I can’t wait to try them out!
